What is Aromatherapy?

Aromatherapy involves the use of essential oils extracted from plants, herbs, flowers, grasses and fruits. These can be applied through massage, inhalation or bathing as a way of enhancing an individuals general health.

Aromatherapy could be said to have its foundations in the most ancient healing practices of mankind, as the plants from which we now derive these essential oils were used in 'medicines' for thousands of years before the technique of distilling oils was discovered.

Aromatherapy Massage can help to heal, and to prevent illness and disease. It does this by improving the circulation to specific organs or areas of the body, so helping to eliminate waste products from these organs.

The most popular use is to ease stress related problems. This is especially so where these stresses are the result of muscular tension, aches and pains, difficulty sleeping, poor digestion or a general lack of energy.
