What is Reflexology?

Reflexology consists of pressure and massage applied to specific points on the feet and sometimes hands. There are zones and reflexes on the feet that correspond to all other body parts. Reflexologists can detect tiny deposits and imbalances and working on these points with gentle massage can release blockages and restore the free flow of energy to the whole body.

Since reflexology is used to treat the whole person as an individual most people benefit from the treatment as it brings relief to a wide range of acute and chronic conditions and is suitable for all ages.

Treatment is usually a 15-minute consultation and 45-minute treatment. On the first consultation the therapist will take a full history and then advise a treatment package to suit your individual needs. All you need to bring is a pair of feet and comfortable loose fitting clothing.

The treatment is often given to relieve stress-induced conditions but research has also found it can relieve the symptoms of PMS, constipation, headaches, asthma, chemotherapy, digestive, gynaecological problems, joint pains and sinusitis.
